Sally has been working on her mission plan of being around people. While she has made some progress in her mission plan, she finds herself stuck at one of the steps in her mission plan. She now talks to Rita at school, but it is still really difficult for Sally to ask Rita to hang out outside of school. So, Sally and her mom decided to keep practicing the steps she has already done while starting a new mission plan to mix it up. They looked back at their anxiety checklist and picked a new target – Sally’s fear of germs. Sally will start working on her fears of germs while continuing practicing steps that are rated between 3-5 in her mission plan on being around people. When she feels ready, she will come back to her mission plan on being around people and try other steps.

This is her new mission plan. This example would be more similar to a mission plan for a teen or an older child.
