The Crestron AirMedia is a hardware appliance that allows you to wirelessly project your computer content over BCM-WiFi in rooms equipped with this device. Windows PCs and most smartphones (with the AirMedia app installed) can display full-motion video and audio (but no audio from phones). However, some of the latest MAC OS devices may not connect properly to older AirMedia devices. Only the newer AM-200 models, which are characterized by black BCM and Media Services animated logos, may accept MAC signals. As budget allows, we will upgrade AirMedias to the latest versions.
Software Download
If you have not already installed the AirMedia client software, you will be prompted to download it when you connect to the AirMedia.
Note: Previous versions of the AirMedia client also installed a program called "SoundFlower" that enabled audio to be transmitted from the Mac to AirMedia. The current version now has built-in audio drivers and no longer installs SoundFlower.
Materials and resources for this area are being developed by the Office of Academic Technology: Education Technology. They will be added to this section as soon as they are ready.
