Sheth awarded Jasper L. and Jack Denton Wilson Foundation grant
Dr. Sameer Sheth, professor and vice chair of research in the Department of Neurosurgery, McNair Scholar, and Cullen Foundation Endowed Chair at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ of Medicine, and director of the Cain Laboratories at the Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital, has been awarded a $200,000 grant by the Jasper L. and Jack Denton Wilson Foundation.
The grant will support Dr. Sheth and his team as they continue critical pediatric epilepsy research. The goal of this effort is to expand the research infrastructure within the Texas Children’s Hospital Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The planned improvements will enable detailed investigation of the neural basis not only of seizures themselves, but also of the cognitive, learning, and mental health consequences of childhood epilepsy.
