- Section faculty maintained national and international leadership in cardiovascular prevention, earning the #1 ranking in LDL-C care in the United States and #4 globally by Expertscape.
- Faculty published 148 peer-reviewed articles, including 37 in high-impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Cell, Circulation, European Heart Journal, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and JAMA Cardiology, while presenting research at major national and international scientific meetings.
- The Center for Cardiometabolic Disease Prevention led late-breaking clinical trials with simultaneous publications in the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American College of Cardiology, advancing novel therapies for dyslipidemia and cardiometabolic disease.

Our section conducts basic science, clinical, and translational research focusing on mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of atherothrombotic cardiovascular disease and other cardiometabolic diseases.
