Professional Statement
As a qualitative methodologist at the Houston Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness, and Safety at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, I have extensive experience with the application of qualitative methods in health services research and am currently the qualitative methodologist on several grants and quality improvement projects funded through the Veterans Health Administration and the Agency for ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Research and Quality. My work focuses on better understanding patient and provider experiences with different aspects of the health care system. Part of my role at our research center includes training and mentoring investigators, research fellows, and staff on qualitative research design, research methods, and analyses as well as providing content expertise in these areas.
