Professional Statement
After growing up in Denton, Texas, I majored in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT, I worked as a medical assistant, where I discovered my passion for patient-centered continuity of care. In between graduating from UT and starting graduate school, I worked as a genetic counseling assistant in an outpatient cancer clinic that provided genetic counseling to adults with a personal or family history of cancer. Throughout my career, I have also pursued my passion for group fitness, and have been a spin instructor since 2018. In my spare time, I have volunteered as a hospital advocate for survivors of sexual assault and currently serve as a student ambassador for the United Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD) organization.
I am a second-year genetic counseling student at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ of Medicine, and am available for prospective students who want to learn more about genetic counseling or would like mentorship throughout the application process!
