Professional Statement
Lisa Valentine joined the faculty in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in 2013 after completing both medical school and residency at ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ of Medicine. At the Pavilion for Women at Texas Children's Hospital, where she worked for 8 years, she focused primarily on outpatient care of women with mental health needs related to reproductive life events, especially pregnancy. Now part of the voluntary faculty for the College, she works full-time in private practice where she focuses on combination medication management and psychotherapy and also consults with patients with reproductive mental health needs.
