Professional Statement
John Chancellor, MD, MS is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Vitreoretinal Diseases & Surgery. Prior to completing his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ of Medicine, Dr. Chancellor finished his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Neuroscience & Behavior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His clinical and surgical interests include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment repair. His research interests include surgical outcomes in diabetic retinopathy and inherited retinal diseases.
