Professional Statement

Rapid advances in sequencing technologies have revolutionized our ability to identify genomic alterations in disease, particularly cancer. My goal is to improve patient outcomes through professional interpretation and integration of these complex molecular data into the clinical space. Through engagement with a multi-disciplinary clinical team, I am able to help direct targeted therapy and relevant clinical trial assignments tailored to a patient’s cancer genomic information. I am board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology, with formal training emphasis on NGS-based clinical genomics in cancer.

I am a physician-scientist with expertise in implementing and improving clinically-relevant next generation sequencing (NGS) workflows and pipelines in clinical genomics, clinical informatics, and systems biology. My clinical and research background is diverse and spans academic, government, and private industry settings, with primary research interests in developing high-throughput molecular diagnostic technology to address functional genomics.
