Professional Statement
Dr. Fares Ayoub is a highly skilled interventional gastroenterologist with a focus on the endoscopic management of foregut disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF), achalasia and gastroparesis with per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), Barrett's esophagus and early esophageal and gastric neoplasia with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). He also manages pancreas and biliary disease with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP. Dr. Ayoub established and directs the Baylor Medicine multi-disciplinary foregut conference. Dr. Ayoub believes in individualized, personalized care, where each patient is treated based on their individual circumstances. He is a strong advocate for his patients in a complex healthcare environment. Outside direct patient responsibilites, Dr. Ayoub is a Baylor Medicine physician bioinformatician, helping bridge the gap between information technology and patient care.
