Professional Interests

  • Lifestyle, hormonal, and anabolic interventions to prevent or reverse sarcopenic obesity and frailty in older adults.

Professional Statement

I am a physician-scientist with specialized training in geriatrics and endocrinology. My research focuses on lifestyle interventions to reverse frailty and improve health outcomes in older adults with obesity. In my clinical and translational laboratories, I investigate hormonal, nutritional, and behavioral strategies to slow or reverse the complications of aging, including sarcopenic obesity and type 2 diabetes. I am committed to conducting research that informs clinical practice and advances optimal treatment strategies for older adults with obesity.
