Dr. Amelia Lucisano is a practicing General and Bariatric Surgeon at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) and Assistant Professor of Surgery at ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ of Medicine in Houston, TX. She completed undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame and medical education (MD) at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She completed an academic General Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), as well as a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at UPMC. She was delighted to join the Baylor Department of Surgery as faculty and has focused her efforts on developing a comprehensive in-house Bariatric Surgery program at MEDVAMC. Her primary goal remains providing exceptional care to Veterans and improving Veteran access to the full spectrum of Bariatric surgical care.
