Professional Statement
Dr. Gupta is a pediatrician who works with the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program, which includes the SuperKids Mobile Clinic and the Ronald McDonald CareMobile. The mobile clinics are funded by Texas Children’s Hospital/Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates with help from philanthropic donations from the community. One important goal of the Mobile Clinic Program is to provide health care in the form of immunizations, regular check-ups, and urgent care visits to non-insured or underinsured children. The second goal of the mobile clinic is to provide access to both insurance and a medical home. Dr. Gupta’s clinical interests include providing care for the underserved as well as advocating for these patients. Her research interests include improving access to health care and health literacy in the underserved population.
