Professional Statement

I have professional experience across the fields of population health, environmental health, and data science. My line of research is focused in two main areas: first, the measurement of neighborhood-level stressors, including chemical (e.g., air pollution), physical (e.g., heat), and social (e.g., socioeconomic), and second, investigating the pathways through which these stressors are related to diseases or their risk factors. Across my work, I emphasize the significance of place through spatial epidemiology and geographic information system (GIS).
