Professional Statement
I am a Certified Nurse Midwife born and raised in Houston, Texas, and I am proud to serve pregnant people in my community. Through compassionate, evidence-based care, I strive for equity in women's health by supporting health literacy and patient autonomy.
My nursing career began in 2017 as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at LBJ Hospital, where I felt deeply aligned with the core values of the Harris Health System. My experience there was invaluable and fueled my desire to serve pregnant populations at a higher level. To support my master’s program and expand my scope in labor and delivery, I worked and trained at various facilities including the home birth setting & hospital settings in El Paso, Corpus Christi, and Washington DC.
After completing my MSN degree at Texas Tech University’s Health Science Center, I was thrilled to return 'home' to Harris Health with new credentials, enabling me to empower women in my role as a provider.
